Glutamine plays a central role in cancer metabolism, serving as a vital source of carbon and nitrogen for tumor growth, with key players like glutaminase (GLS) and ASCT2 facilitating this process. In Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), elevated glutaminase levels and intensified glutamine catabolism are associated with poor patient prognosis and enhanced drug resistance. These insights underscore the importance of targeting glutamine metabolism to overcome therapeutic barriers and improve clinical outcomes.
