My research explores the intricate relationship between the Hippo signaling pathway and mechanobiology in the context of drug-tolerant persister (DTP) cells in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). My work basically involves characterizing core elements of these systems and examining their role in cellular behavior and survival. By linking Hippo pathway effectors like YAP/TAZ with mechanical cues such as ECM stiffness and cytoskeletal tension, I will seek to understand how gene expression and drug resistance are modulated. The research aims to reveal how this interplay influences TNBC aggressiveness and the persistence of resistant cells post-therapy.
