I am investigating the role of therapy-induced drug-tolerant persister (DTP) cells in gastric cancer, with a focus on uncovering molecular mechanisms that support their survival and contribute to cancer relapse. I am particularly exploring the involvement of WNT signaling and the DNA damage response pathways in DTP maintenance. My work also includes optimizing gene overexpression systems and collaborating on studies involving novel anticancer compounds targeting gastric cancer. These efforts aim to identify therapeutic vulnerabilities in DTPs, providing a foundation for strategies to overcome drug resistance and improve long-term treatment outcomes.
